So it is no secret as I have openly admitted many a times that I am not your makeup savvy girl! However, I am a bargain buyer, and I love buying makeup! (Even though my skills can be immensely improved!)
I’m sure most of us not only love a bargain, but love makeup! And as always, I have a love of over sharing so I thought I would share my recent Bargain Makeup Buys with ya’ll!
The Maybelline Fit Me Foundation has become my FAV foundation. It literally feels so light and soft on your skin, and the coverage is perfect! The tiniest bit of this foundation goes a long way too! It costs around £6 (which I am quite surprised on!) so if you are looking for a new foundation then I would highly recommend you give this a try! I usually use MAC but I can see myself replacing it with this for sure!
So this little sparkly bottle here lifts complexion and also creates a nice dewy complexion! You can either use this without foundation, or you can mix it with foundation or use it as a primer! I usually mix mine with the BB Crème below. It makes your skin feel quite fresh and I definitely now notice a difference between when I use it or I don’t. This cost around £5 and the bottle is a decent size!
The Kiko Milano BB Crème – Coloured Beauty Balm , literally is the love of my lift ATM! I was so sick of wearing foundation every day of the week, so decided to try find an alternative, and I am sooooooo happy I found this! It is white like a crème, but it contains special micro-encapsulated pigments that react to your assumed natural skin tone. So it gives a shade like look of foundation without the heaviness! Perfect for a natural look. During the week I have been using this with the Collection Illuminated Touch Liquid and my skin has improved so much. This is usually priced at £8.90 but I got it in the sale for £4.80 and I have just seen it is now on sale again for £2!! (Grab the bargain now girls!!)
OK, so I won’t lie – I have zero idea what this product is actually supposed to do for you! It is a custom colour foundation mixer, but I bought this purely for the fact I had been searching for an extremely pale kind of concealer for ages and could never find them light enough. So when I found this, I HAD to get it because the brightness/ lightness of it was just what I needed in my life! The light/fair shade is literally like white! I usually put this on under my eyes and on places I want to brighten up before I apply my foundation and it makes SUCH a difference! It makes me look so much more fresh (and alive/awake) it cost me £4 and I do not think I could live without it again now!
I decided I needed a translucent powder, purely for the fact that everyone else I know uses them and all the makeup tutorial videos I watch do too, so yep I NEEDED to get me one! I did not want to get anything to pricey as I have ZERO idea on what I am actually doing – so I opted for the Collection Sheer Loose Powder – which cost me £2.99! I usually just apply this after my foundation, it reduces any shine and it gives me a nice natural finished look! Again, I definitely notice the finish of my makeup when I do and do not use this now!
I have been using a MAC Mascara recently but it went SO clumpy and horrible, so I was in desperate need for something new! Whilst browsing the Collection Range I found this Extreme Coloured Lengthing Mascara , which I am sure only cost me around £3, and I LOVE IT! It is one of the best mascaras I have bought, it really does lengthen your lashes and does not clump them together! This has become my go to mascara!
Lately I love eye shadows and have purchased many palettes, but whilst in Kiko Milano I noticed their range of eyeshadows and I fell a little bit in love! I have been obsessed with the whole Kylie Jenner orangey/nude eye she does for a long while now and having already a major selection of nudes (I am totes a nude girl) I needed a nice orange shade and this eye shadow does not disappoint! So you can use these either wet or dry, and the pigment on them is crazy! The other shade is a white/pinky colour and really brightens your eyes – perfect for a day time look! They have SO many colours so you could be there choosing for quite a while! These only cost around £4 each too!
One thing I am anal about, is my eyebrows! I get them tinted/wax probably every 10 days for real! I usually use a powder/paste to do them, but I saw this MUA Brow Define Mascara for like £2 and just thought why the hell not give it a go! I have never used a Brow Mascara before, so the first couple applications was not fun, but after a few goes I really actually love this product! I still use my other products first, but then I just brush over them with this and they give them a nice set finish!
So those have been my recent Bargain Makeup Buys! It just goes to show you do not need to spend a lot of dollar to get good products! I also use more expensive products but I keep finding lately the cheaper alternatives do just the same job! If you are like me and not massively makeup savvy and love a bargain then I recommend all the above to you! Plus I have reviewed it for you, so its like a try before you buy 😉
