Stop comparing, start living!

I feel like we live in a society where everything is a competition. Who has got the nicest car, the highest paid job, who has moved out, got engaged….the list really goes on.

And because of this, no one is happy for one another anymore. There is a constant pit of jealousy accustomed to everyone’s achievements.

And you know what? Sometimes it is does feel fucking shit that everyone seems to be achieving everything you want. You do feel jealous, because you have worked your ass off and still feel no closer to where you want to be, where others seem to be getting so easily.

The thing is, we have no idea what that person had to go through to get where they are today. What battles, set backs and failures they have faced. We only see what they want us to see, no one ever wants to broadcast their failures.

Every single person walking this earth has a different path, different experiences to be had, different lessons to be learnt, different failures and success’s and at different times!

Truth is, no one created a time limit. We as a generation have just planted this non-existent time limit because we think that’s how life is ‘supposed’ to go.

We end up wasting so much time wishing our life could move forward and wanting new doors to open up, that we actually end up missing opportunities.

We need to stop looking at what others have and more at what we have ourselves, what we ourselves want to achieve, and make us ourselves happy.

Life is NOT a competition, life is a JOURNEY. Trust the timing in you life, and have faith that you are heading where you are supposed to be.

The universe gives us what we are ready for, what we need, and you might be surprised what is heading your way next.

It is about embracing and being in control of your own, let go of what you think you should be doing and just do what YOU WANT TO DO. Book that trip you want to take, accept that job offer, go on that date….because everything we do leads us to the next chapter of our lives. And your chapter is yours, unique to you.

The most important thing we can own or achieve in life is happiness. Only when you are truly at peace with yourself and the direction of which your own life is heading, will you truly be content.

Do not fall into this trap of thinking you need to achieve certain things by a certain age, its bullshit! Some of the most successful and famous people in the world didn’t make it until they was past 40! Greatness has no age limit.

For what it is worth, it is never to late to be who you want to be, to achieve what you want to achieve, to have the life you want.

Focus on yourself, your goals, your life and magical things will happen. I am personally done comparing my life to others – I know where I want to be, what I want to achieve and from today I am going to work to make that happen! Starting with ourselves, lets pass on to the younger generation that we can achieve what we want, without comparing.

We all have our own story book, and its up to you what your story entails…

Stop comparing, start living.
